Buc-ee’s Gluten-Free and Allergen Guide

2 items labeled gluten-freeNo official allergen menu foundAlways read the label

Shopping at Buc-ee’s with celiac disease or a food allergy takes some care. Buc-ee’s doesn’t publish an allergen menu that we could find, so most of the work is reading labels on the shelf.

Here’s what we know: which items carry Gluten-Free in their name, which ones obviously contain wheat, nuts, milk or egg, and the steps we’d take before eating anything from the hot case or bakery.

Read this first: We are not doctors or dietitians, and this is not an official Buc-ee’s allergen list. We couldn’t find an allergen menu on Buc-ee’s website, and its FAQ doesn’t cover allergens. Use this page to plan, then check the package label and ask staff before you eat anything if you have celiac disease or a serious allergy.

What Buc-ee’s Publishes About Allergens

As of October 2026, we found no allergen chart or gluten-free menu on buc-ees.com. The official FAQ covers kitchen hours, gift cards, fuel and returns, but says nothing about gluten, nuts or other allergens.

Buc-ee’s also says it has no good way to check whether an item is in stock at a particular store, and store phone numbers are unlisted. So you can’t call ahead and ask. Feedback goes through the Buc-ee’s website.

  • Packaged snacks have printed labels. These are your most reliable source.
  • Hot food, bakery items and counter foods may not list everything on the wrapper. Ask staff.
  • Recipes and suppliers can change. A label you read last year may not match today’s bag.

Items Labeled Gluten-Free

On our October 2026 price list, 2 items have Gluten-Free right in the product name. Both are Beaver Nuggets family snacks.

  • Gluten-Free Cinnamon Sweet Beaver Nuggets$1.95 | 3 oz
  • Nug’ees Gluten-Free White Cheddar Habanero$4.58 | 5 oz
ItemPriceSize
Gluten-Free Cinnamon Sweet Beaver Nuggets$1.953 oz
Nug’ees Gluten-Free White Cheddar Habanero$4.585 oz

The regular Cinnamon Sweet Beaver Nuggets bag ($5.73, 10 oz) is a different product. Don’t assume it’s gluten-free because the flavor name matches. Look for the gluten-free wording on the bag itself.

Simple Foods Worth Checking

Some grab-and-go items are mostly fruit, vegetables, cheese or eggs. They have fewer ingredients, so they’re a reasonable place to start looking. They are not labeled gluten-free on our list. Read each label, and check dips and dressings, which often have more ingredients than the food they come with.

  • Fresh Cut Fruit Cup$5.73 | 1 ct
  • Cantaloupe Cup$5.73 | 10 oz
  • Grapes Cup$5.73 | 10 oz
  • Veggies & Ranch Cup$5.73 | 1 ct
  • Eggs Cup$2.06 | 2 ct
  • Cheddar Cheese Cup$3.44 | 5 oz
  • Smoked Cheddar Cheese Cup$3.44 | 1 ct
  • Apple & Peanut Butter Cup$5.73 | 7 oz

Fruit cups ($5.73)

Fresh Cut Fruit, Cantaloupe and Grapes cups. Plain fruit is the simplest item in the cooler. Check the label for anything added.

Veggies & Ranch Cup ($5.73)

The ranch dip is the part to read. Dressings can contain milk, egg and other ingredients.

Eggs Cup ($2.06, 2 ct)

Eggs, so not for anyone with an egg allergy. Check the label for any seasoning packet.

Cheese cups ($3.44)

Contain milk. Smoked and flavored cheeses can have added ingredients, so read before you buy.

Apple & Peanut Butter Cup ($5.73)

Contains peanuts. Skip it with a peanut allergy.

Pro Tip

Jerky is tempting for a low-carb snack, but marinades often include soy sauce or other seasonings. The Jerky Bar also offers free sampling at a shared counter. If you’re avoiding gluten or soy, a sealed bag with a readable label is the safer pick.

Jerky Bar sampling: The Takeout.

Items That Clearly Contain Wheat

These items are built on bread, buns, tortillas or pastry dough, so plan on them containing gluten.

Where Common Allergens Show Up

This table is based on item names and what the items obviously are. It is not a complete allergen list. Many products contain allergens that their names don’t mention, so the label is still the final word.

Cross-Contact Risks at Buc-ee’s

Even a food without gluten or nuts in its recipe can pick them up from shared surfaces. These are the spots where we’d be most careful.

Bakery case

Cookies, brownies, pecan bars, kolaches and cinnamon rolls are sold from the same bakery. Nuts and wheat flour are both common in a bakery.

Fudge counter

Buc-ee’s sells homemade fudge, and several of its sweets use pecans. Ask staff how the fudge is cut and whether nuts are handled nearby.

Hot food case and BBQ board

Brisket is chopped and sauced in front of customers, then served on buns. Tacos, sandwiches and kolaches are handled in the same area.

Jerky Bar

Many flavors at one counter, with free sampling. Marinades vary from flavor to flavor.

How to Shop Buc-ee’s With a Food Allergy

  • Start in the packaged snack aisle and the cooler. Printed labels are easier to trust than counter food.
  • Read the full ingredient list and the allergen statement on every package, every time.
  • Look for Gluten-Free on the bag itself, not just on a shelf tag.
  • Ask a staff member about anything from the hot case, bakery, fudge counter or Jerky Bar.
  • Pack a backup snack from home. Buc-ee’s can’t confirm stock ahead of time, so the item you want may be sold out.
  • Carry your medication if you have a serious allergy, the same as anywhere else you eat.

Notes for Vegetarian and Low-Carb Travelers

  • Veggie Burrito$8.04 | 13 oz
  • Southwest Veggie Salad with Ancho Lime$6.89 | 11 oz
  • Keto Kit$10.34 | 1 ct
  • Cobb Salad with Avocado Ranch$8.04 | 12 oz

Vegetarian

The Veggie Burrito ($8.04, 13 oz) and the Southwest Veggie Salad with Ancho Lime ($6.89, 11 oz) are the clearest meatless meals. Fruit cups, cheese cups and the Veggies & Ranch Cup also work. Check labels for any meat-based ingredients.

Low-carb

Buc-ee’s sells a Keto Kit for $10.34. We don’t have its contents, so read the label. Eggs Cups ($2.06) and cheese cups ($3.44) are simple options. Jerky can contain sugar in the marinade, so check the nutrition panel.
